Directions and Parking
The church is near the junction of Avey Lane and Mott Street, High Beach, Essex. IG10 4BF
There is a public bus service from Loughton Station and Chingford Station on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Using SatNav Systems: Our postcode is very recent and is not likely to be helpful on a SatNav. (On Google Maps it takes you to the Morrisons Supermarket in Loughton!) Also, some SatNavs have a tendency to try to take people along old forest tracks, so treat with care. If using a SatNav, IG10 4AA will take you to Epping New Road, (A104) and then follow directions below.
From South or Epping New Road , eg A12, North Circular and then up through Woodford - Best way to come is via roundabout with Robin Hood pub on A104 (Epping New Road) –At the roundabout, take the turning signposted “High Beach”. Go straight on this road, ignoring the road bearing off to the right signposted High Beach. The Church is on your right.
If coming via M25 – come off at Jn 26 and take the A121 signposted to Epping or Loughton. Go about 50 yards down A121, past Jewish cemetery and The Volunteer Pub on the right – Take the next little right hand at a crossroads, just after the pub –(next to a small thatched shelter).
Go down this lane for 2 miles, past an open area and keep going (if in doubt keep right) until you get to another crossroads – turn left here. The church is about 50 m along this road on the left.
From Waltham Abbey/Sewardstone take Avey Lane (first turning left from the roundabout at Waltham Abbey on Sewardstone Road)_ – the Church is about 1.5miles on your left.
Parking: Parking is very limited. There is some parking opposite the church yard on Church Lane. Otherwise, parking is on the road verges around the church and local roads. All the parking is on Forest land, so please have consideration for other users.
If you arranging a large event, eg a baptism or wedding, it may be helpful to arrange a small coach and/or ensure someone can organise parking at the Church, to maximise the cars that can use the space.
